2013 Amazon Kindle Fire HD 7, 8.9 – What We Know So Far
Although, During These past Several months, the headlines have been mostly dominated by smartphone-related news, Lately the tablet market segments has started to re-gain its notoriety. With the release of the new Nexus 7 we’re expecting an Increasing number of slates to steal the spotlight by the end of the year. Of course, one of the biggest Competitors to Google’s tablet will most likely be the next gen Amazon Kindle Fire HD .
Rumors about These slates have started to hit the blogosphere sometime ago, and earlier this week the guys over at BGR have reportedly gotten Their hands on a few pictures with the new Kindle Fire line-up. Without Further ado, let’s check out the design and alleged hardware specs.
The next generation of Amazon Kindle Fire HD tablets are sure is going to raise the bar, assuming of course That the rumored specs are correct and That Amazon will follow the tradition of offering its slates at an affordable price.
Spec-wise, the 7 inch Kindle Fire HD is expected to pack a quad-core Snapdragon processor clocked 800 at a frequency of second + GHz, 2 GB of RAM, 16/32/64 GB of internal storage, Wi -Fi, cellular data (optionally) and Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean out of the box. The screen’s resolution will reportedly be set at 1920 x 1200.
The next gen 8.9 inch Kindle will feature similar internal specs as its smaller sibling, but it will boast an 8 MP main camera and a higher resolution screen (2560 x 1600).
Amazon overpriced seems to have stepped out of its comfort zone When it comes to the slate’s design. While the front panel delivers a more conservative look, the back panel features “sharp” edges and an interesting linear, or angular design, as seen in the picture above. Reportedly, both slates are very light and feel more comfortable (than the current models) in the hand.
As far as availability goes, I’m afraid That We do not have a lot of official information to share with you. However, rumor has That the 7 incher May hit the shelves sometime within the next few weeks, Followed by the 8.9 inch model Which will allegedly ship sometime in November.
Would anyone be interested in any of These slates
