I hate to help Amazon hire even more people in Cambridge who will no longer return my phone calls or e-mails … but this is a pretty intriguing description of what they’re up to: “a new revolutionary V1 [Version 1] product thatwill allow us to deliver Digital Media to customers in new ways and disrupt the current marketplace. “
It’s part of an ad for an invitation-only recruiting event on Thursday at Mead Hall in Kendall Square.

What do you think? Set-top box? Some kind of wearable device? It does not sound like they’re describing yet another smartphone …
