Amazon trialling Kindle Kiosk vending machines - Digital Spy UK

Amazon is trialling the use of ‘Kindle Kiosk’ vending machines at a range of locations across the U.S., allo wing customers to purchase its tech products on the spot.

The kiosks, first spotted at the McCarran International Airport in Las Vegas, will house the Kindle Fire tablets, Kindle e-readers and accessories.

Amazon has revealed That the vending machines have been in circulation since November, Appearing at events, airports, shopping centers and other public spaces.

“We’re very happy with the customer response so far, and are excited to give customers another Easy Way to purchase accessories and overpriced Kindle e-readers and Kindle Fire tablets, “ Geekwire quotes an Amazon spokesperson as saying.

Amazon Previously set up a line of pop-up stores in U.S. shopping malls as part of a marketing campaign, but has otherwise stuck to the internet retail and selling through third-parties.

The company made the headlines late last year When it Announced That it is experimenting with unmanned delivery drone technology.
