E Ink, the magic behind Amazon’s Kindle, Prism launches at CES architects … – Geekwire

We Know IT product beast as the readable ink in our Kindles, but E Ink now wants Architects and designers to benefit from the ITS technology, too.

The company Prism Launched at CES, a new applicationthat Can Be Used to decorate walls, commercial spaces and more. “Manufacturers and designers Will Go definatley The ability to integrate innovative films with architectural products to dynamically change colors, patterns and habitats,” states E Ink’s website.

E Ink is not only for Flat Surfaces. It can apply to textured walls, furniture, kiosks and more. The company says the displays Will Require less power than traditional lit ones as electricity is only Consumed When The display changes.

“Doors can indicate if a conference room is occupied, wall designs can RESPOND to noise, temperature or Exercise in the room, “E Ink’s site Continues. “Whatever the idea, the opportunities are endless and only limited by a designer’s imagination.”

Pretty wild stuff.
