Amazon.com Offering Personalized Kindle Device Covers AMZN - Investor's Business Daily

class=”company”> Amazon.com (AMZN) is giving Kindle users a new way to personalize Their devices by letting them put photographs, images and patterns of Their Choosing on Their Kindle covers at no extra cost.

The new service, Which Launched Thursday, lets customers design Their Own covers and skins for the Amazon’s Origami cover, Which has a stand and magnetic attachment features, as well as other products cover for Kindle Fire tablets and Kindle Paperwhite e-readers.

“With this new service, we’re making it possible for customers to dream up virtually any design and seamlessly turn it into a Kindle cover – at no additional cost,” Peter Larsen, vice president, Amazon Kindle, said in the company’s press release.

Standard cover prices for Amazon’s various tablets and e-readers vary by model and material used. Prices for the Kindle Fire HD tablet Origami cover range from $ 45 to $ 60, while polyurethane covers for the Kindle Fire HDX 7-inch and 8.9-inch models range from $ 50 to $ 55.

Besides being able to upload staff photos for the covers, Kindle users can choose from a variety of Amazon designs That include hundreds of images, logos and patterns.

Amazon stock was up nearly 2% in midday trading in the stock market Thursday.
