1 day ago in November 14, 2013 – 9:11 AM PST

Thinking about giving someone an Amazon Kindle this holiday season? How about Adding a customized case with an image of your face to go with it? Amazon on Thursday Introduced a new line of personalized Kindle accessories That Allows you customize your Kindle cover for no extra cost.

This service was alreadycreated available through third-party manufacturers, but this marks the first time That the Amazon will be offering the personalized accessories itself. You can design your own cover by uploading photographs from your library, or you can choose from a number of Amazon-made designs. There’s overpriced a library filled with images, logos and patterns, including graphics from cartoons and television shows like Peanuts and Breaking Bad .

The covers are available for the new and old Kindle Fire HD, both sizes of the Kindle Fire HDX, the Kindle Paperwhite and the Kindle Touch. The covers are shipped and sold by either CafePress Electronics, Decal Girl or Marware, and right now it looks like most ship within 2-3 days.

This is a smart move on Amazon’s part. By offering These personalized accessories Directly, and for the same price as normal cases, I imagine thatmany users will choose to go with Amazon, as opposed to a third-party supplier. And with a big push on Amazon’s site, I imagine it might sell a lot of covers printed with images of people’s pets this holiday season.
