I’ve been using the Kindle Paperwhite, Amazon’s first e-reader with a screen That Can Be brightened and darkened, for a little over a year now.
If you’re looking for a light, inexpensive device with an impressive screen thatwill let you read books in the dark and in direct sunlight, the White Paper will not let you down.
Today only – that would be Monday, just in case you needed a reminder That It Is [UGH] Monday – Amazon is selling the Paperwhite refurbished for $ 79. Usually, the Paperwhite costs $ 119. The regular Kindle, Which Has a lower-resolution screen That Can not Light Up Ice overpriced $ 79.
This is a very, very good deal.
There are a few caveats here. First, you’re not buying a fire new Paperwhite: These are refurbished models, Which Means That someone HAS owned and distressed the Paperwhite before you. Lifehacker points out, however, That the refurbished Paperwhites do come with the same warranty and customer service Guarantee you would get with the full-priced version.
Also, this is for the Wi-Fi only version. So before you go to the beach, you’ll Have to download your books on your home network.
Third, the Kindle Paperwhite is no longer Amazon’s highest-end model. It just released a $ 200 device called the Kindle Voyage, Which reviewers seem to agree is the best e-reader ever made. (I would still vouch for the Kindle Paperwhite as a totally CapAble e-reader thatwill not let you down.)

If you’re OK with All Those caveats, and you’re in the market for a new e-reader, the $ 79 Kindle Paperwhite is a nice value. Lots of other people think so, too: The tablet is Already scheduled to ship in three to five weeks, Which is a decade by Amazon’s speedy standards.
