The Amazon Kindle Fire HD from Amazon is reportedly getting a temporary price cut to just $ 139 for a limited time. They’re doing this to get rid of some of the refurbished models of the tablet.
The Amazon Kindle Fire Line seems to be doing better than the Amazon Fire Phone, Which recently got a price drop to just 99 cents with a two-year contract after poor sales. We believe many Consumers Expected a cheaper phone from Amazon similar to Their Kindle or Kindle Fire Lines.
Traditionally, Amazon prices its hardware cheaper than the competition to Draw Consumers set. Then they make more money off of Their app store and by having people buy Amazon Prime subscriptions. The Amazon Kindle Fire HD is no exception to this rule. It’s slightly cheaper than other tablets on the market (even more so for a few days if you buy the refurbished version) and has similar specs.
Depending on what version of the tablet you buy, you’ll be getting a pretty high powered version of the tablet. The real reason to buy an Amazon Kindle Fire HD is Amazon’s app store. Amazon’s Kindle devices run Android, but can only run apps from Amazon’s app store. This Means That If You Want to play a game that’s only on Google Play, you will not be able to play it on your Amazon tablet.
To entice users to use Their app store, Amazon gives away one free paid application or game a day and tries to run more frequent Deals on Apps That May be more expensive on Other Android Markets. Amazon does the Best They Can to get people to buy into Their ecosystem. Dropping the price of the Kindle Fire HD is just another way to get people to buy into.
