Take Screenshots On Almost Any Kindle Device - Lifehacker Australia

  • Kindle Keyboard (also Kindle 3 and DX) . Press Alt-Shift-G on the keyboard. Pics are stored in the Documents folder. Again, connect to a computer to get to them.
  • Kindle Fire 2 and Kindle Fire HD (thathave a volume button) . Press and hold the volume down and power button at the sametime. Open your Photos app to access the pics.
  • Older Kindle Fires (without volume buttons) . Unfortunately, These are a lot harder to take screenshots on. You actually have to connect your Fire to a computer with the Kindle SDK installed and take a screenshot through the development environment. Here are Amazon’s instructions.
  • Kindle app (various platforms) . The Kindle app does not have a built-in screenshot function, so you’ll have to take a screenshot with the tools available to the platform itself. Here’s how to take screenshots on your computer, on your Android device, and on your iOS device.
